What happens in a 1-1 session?

Well, as these sessions are specifically tailored to meet your needs they will vary. However, below is an outline of what you can expect especially if you’re coming for help with muscle pain, stiffness or an injury. If your needs are more for restoration and relaxation then the content and focus will have a different orientation – please get in touch with me if you would like to know more about what this might involve.

The first 90 minute session includes:

  • Exploring your health and lifestyle and what you would like to get out of the session.
  • A detailed assessment of your posture (to help ascertain the most appropriate movement patterns to help you)
  • A personalised movement practice specifically designed to meet your needs
  • Following on from the lesson a 10-15 minute daily practice will be devised that you can take home and begin to integrate into your life
  • Follow up email to review the session and help clarify any queries you may have with any of the movements

The 75 minute follow on sessions include:

  • Building on the movements of the previous session and what has been learned e.g. introducing new movements to further release out of muscular tension
  • A further home practice will be devised for you, taking into account the new learning
  • An exploration of how you can begin to integrate these movements and what you have learned into your daily life including sitting, standing and going about your daily life
  • Follow up email

Frequently Asked Questions

Where do 1-1 Sessions Take Place?

At my home studio in Central Edinburgh, the address and directions will be given to you when you book your session.

What are the fees?
  • £60/First 90 min session
  • £60/Follow on 75-90 min sessions
  • £250 for five sessions booked in advance

You may pay in cash or cheque when you attend the session or via Bank Transfer before the session (account details will be sent to you when you book)

How many sessions are needed?

It is recommended that you have 5 sessions to gain the most benefit.

What should I wear?

Please wear comfortable, loose or stretchy clothing you can move in i.e. no jeans, skirts or dresses please.
